A Record Each Day

The story of one family's awesome record collection.

Here’s a brand new record (sorry for breaking from the alphabetical)! This is the newly-released LP from experimental electronic/orchestral artist Son Lux, issued by Joyful Noise Recordings. As you can see, this limited edition inside/outside pressing consists of just 500 copies; this is number 119. The packaging is a thing of understated beauty and, with the music, this is an absolute steal at just $15.

I was utterly transfixed by the first song released from this record, “Lost It To Trying.” If you haven’t heard it, go find that shit right now. Like, immediately.

I had enjoyed one of his previous records, At War With Walls And Mazes, but this new one is leaps and bounds ahead of that. This is a wonderfully-realized combination of experimental song structure and orchestral elements that is a force to be reckoned with.
